L-systems were introduced and developed in 1968 by the Hungarian theoretical biologist and botanist from the University of Utrecht , Aristid Lindenmayer (1925-1989). These systems are formal languages originally invented for the modelling of the structure of plants.
these formal language systems can be used as a tool for replacing and generating texts.
